Create a vision.
Seems like a simple statement that you have aced already. Do you? Is it written down somewhere? Do you read it everyday?
Why write down your vision? Funny you should ask. The answer lies within the question. Simply put your vision is what drives the bus.
Let's face it. Building a business, big or small is hard work and most of you don't have what it takes......UNLESS you have a clear vision. When you hit the speed bumps along the way you will only overcome these challenges if something (your vision) reminds you WHY you decided to build a business in the first place.
Let's face it, no one cares about your specific business plan and will openly and willingly tell you all about their opinions. Without a clear concise vision of WHY you are sacrificing everything for your business you will fall short. I don't want to say fail, because failure is a choice. The only way you fail is by giving up.
I strongly urge you to ask yourself questions. Why am I doing this? Answer: To quit my job! Then ask yourself Why do I want to quit my job? Answer: To work from home! Then ask yourself Why do I want to work from home? Answer: So I can set my own hours! Why do I want to set my own hours? Answer: So I can be there for my family! Why do I want to be there for my family? Answer: I want to be an important part of their lives. Why do I want to be an important part of their lives? Answer: I want to create memories and be a constant source of support and encouragement.
Do you see how the simple statement I want to quit my job is not enough? Its not and emotional attachment to the what you are doing. You need to emotionally attach yourself to the why, otherwise you will be to easily set back and possibly taken out of the game.
Write it down, read it everyday as many times as it takes to keep your eye on the prize. Your vision will see you through, without out you are just going through the motions.
A clear vision give you purpose.
